Job Requirement
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote
Schedule: 40h/week (9 AM–5 PM, flexible; core hours 10 AM–3 PM)
Project Context: Join a team of 33 engineers developing advanced power meters within a leading R&D; environment. This role replaces a transitioned contractor and focuses on designing, testing, and optimizing embedded firmware for real‑time systems
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware in C/C++ for real‑time power meter systems.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, implement, and enhance product features.
Develop and execute functional and automated test strategies to ensure quality, safety, and cybersecurity compliance.
Participate in design/code reviews and risk analysis (safety, reliability, cybersecurity).
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize firmware performance.
Contribute to CI/CD and DevOps tooling to improve team efficiency.
Support product validation and lifecycle improvements.
Candidate Requirements
Must-Haves:
2+ years of experience in C++, Python, and C for embedded systems.
Engineering degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Software Engineering.
Hands‑on experience testing embedded systems .
Nice-to-Haves:
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Knowledge of modern software architecture and design patterns .
Familiarity with real‑time operating systems (RTOS) .
Interest in applying AI/ML to embedded systems.
Soft Skills: Open-minded, teachable, proactive.
