Senior Control Systems Specialist
Responsibilities

Create control system requirements by working closely with internal and external customers.

Work closely with P&WC; software design department and other software suppliers to ensure that system requirements are interpreted and implemented as intended.

Create control system test plans and procedures used to validate control systems on simulated closed-loop benches, in a P&WC; engine test cell, and on experimental flight test aircraft.

Support P&WC; engine test department and suppliers’ closed-loop bench test facilities to ensure smooth execution of validation activity.

Support customer flight test activity.

Review and interpret test data produced during validation testing.

Generate top-level certification reports for submittal to national and foreign airworthiness certification authorities.

Engage in continuous improvement to organizational processes based on lessons learned.

Provide technical support to P&WC;’s manufacturing sector to ensure smooth transition of new products into production.

Provide technical support to P&WC;’s aftermarket sector to resolve field issues.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must have a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace); combined with 5 to 15 years experience in control systems engineering.

Relevant experience in gas turbine control systems as well as knowledge of dual channel FADEC would be considered an asset.





An understanding of aerospace software DO-178C and knowledge of DO-254 firmware is considered desirable.

This position is part of a French‑speaking work environment, it requires a very valuable knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
