Wyman is seeking an ambitious actuary to join the US P&C; Practice as a Consulting Actuary on the M&A; team. The role involves contributing to due diligence, analytical efforts, and project delivery for clients such as insurance and reinsurance companies, asset managers, and private equity firms. Execute actuarial due diligence projects for M&A; and reinsurance transactions, reviewing actuarial reports, data, and models to assess adequacy of reserve estimates, loss ratios, pricing, and underwriting practices.

Quantify downside risk associated with potential transactions using stochastic models. Conduct exploratory data analysis on exposure and loss data to uncover business shifts and produce actionable narratives. Develop executive‑level management reports, including data visualizations.

Present findings to senior management and C‑suite executives.



Build a network of industry contacts through deals, conferences, and events. Collaborate with management consulting and actuarial practices in the US and globally.

BA/BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance or related field. ~3+ years of qualified actuarial experience in consulting or insurance. ~ Broad exposure to P&C; insurance in areas such as pricing, reserving, data & analytics, or risk management, with subject matter expertise in at least one area. ~ Ability to lead and manage projects, including effective delegation and client solution development. ~ Proficiency in open‑source programming languages such as Python or R. ~ Detail‑oriented and able to work on multiple projects concurrently. ~ Prior M&A; experience preferred but not required. Performance‑based pay program with year‑end bonuses tied to personal and corporate performance. Eligible for additional performance incentives.
