Join Acorn Perinatal Society as a midwife for the IHRM 2.0 program at Victoria General Hospital in Victoria, BC. This hospital-based position focuses on triage, inpatient assessments, and labour support.
As an experienced midwife, you'll enjoy engaging in high-acuity clinical work within a cooperative, supportive setting. You will play a crucial role in patient flow during labour and delivery, induction starts, and cesarean assistance. The position offers adaptable options including casual shifts and ongoing roles in a meaningful setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out patient triage and inpatient assessments efficiently
• Initiate and support labour induction and patient care
• Assist during cesarean sections and improve patient flow




• Perform antenatal assessments and NSTs as needed
• Work closely with community midwives to deliver care
Requirements:
• Proven midwifery background with clinical expertise
• Strong teamwork orientation in hospital practice
• Flexibility to accept casual or short-term locum roles
• Proficiency in communication and patient evaluation
• Commitment to high standards of care
