Job Summary
NOV is recruiting a Service Technician to perform downhole tool dismantling, cleaning, inspection, assembly, testing, repairs, and other duties at the service center in Nisku, AB. Dayshift: 6am - 2:30pm.
This position is classified as safety sensitive, and employment would be conditional on satisfactory completion of a pre‑employment test.
Primary Responsibilities
Safely dismantle, clean, inspect, assemble, repair, test and paint downhole tools per NOV standards of quality and safety.
Ensure that all serviced tools are in acceptable working order and maintained/serviced per NOV procedures.
Complete all necessary documentation and data entry during the service process.
Perform equipment inspections as per required procedures.
Maintain 5S / housekeeping of work area.
Communicate to Management any issues with equipment, tools, inspections, and HSE concerns.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
High‑school diploma or equivalent.
Mechanically inclined.
Required Skills
Solid work ethic with multi‑tasking abilities.
Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail.
Positive attitude with desire to be a team player.
Ability to work in a shop environment and conduct physical activities such as lifting, crouching, reaching, and standing for periods of time.
