Job Summary A career in Deals Valuations will provide you with the chance to help organizations unlock greater value from existing businesses and assets, recent acquisitions, investments, and complex corporate arrangements.
Responsibilities Understand the business/assets being valued, its historical and projected performance, and key strengths and challenges.
Conduct financial research into industry and general economic conditions, discount rates/cost of capital, valuation multiples for relevant public companies, and precedent transactions.
Engage clients in discussions around their business, operations, and financial items to further valuation analysis.
Prepare complex valuation models to support and arrive at valuation conclusions.
Assist in report preparation.
Perform audit support work including the review of purchase price allocations, goodwill impairment assessments, and private equity portfolio company valuations.
Collaborate with colleagues across all lines of services to deliver valuations alongside other services provided by PwC.
Qualifications Strong financial background with superior verbal and written communication skills.
Investigative mindset with attention to detail and the ability to see the big picture.
Solid technical/analytical and project management skills.
Ability to analyze business situations and a professional, personable demeanor for client interaction and teamwork.
Team player with a CPA/CA designation (other accounting or finance-based designations considered).
Progress toward completion of the Chartered Business Valuator designation considered an asset.
Interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, with openness to learning new tools and adapting work methods.
Strong command of Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Power Platform and Python preferred.

Compensation & Benefits Base salary range: $58,400 – $97,500.
