Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain Palo Alto firewalls and associated security technologies (e.g., Panorama, GlobalProtect, WildFire)
Design and manage firewall policies, VPNs, and network segmentation
Monitor and analyze firewall logs and security events for threat detection and response
Perform upgrades, patches, and configuration changes in line with change management procedures
Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments
Collaborate with network and system teams to ensure secure architecture and compliance
Document network configurations, procedures, and incident reports
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for firewall-related issues
Participate in disaster recovery planning and implementation
Develop and tune correlation SIEM rules, dashboards, and alerts
Integrate log sources from servers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and applications
Investigate and respond to security incidents and anomalies
Collaborate with other IT teams to improve threat detection
Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with security policies
Perform regular audits and optimize SIEM performance
Required Skills & Qualifications Solid understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and VPN technologies
Experience with Palo AltoNetworks products and CLI
Familiarity with SIEM tools and log correlation
Knowledge of network security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
Ability to work in high-pressure settings and respond to incidents promptly
Robust understanding of log management and event correlation
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Preferred Certifications Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
