Take a part time role as a Physician in Pain and Symptom Management at BC Cancer, Abbotsford. Focus on delivering compassionate palliative care while enhancing community support connections.
In this position, you'll engage in clinical, educational, and research activities within the Pain and Symptom Management/Palliative Care (PSMPC) team. Your work is centered on addressing the complex needs of cancer patients and ensuring continuity of care through community transitions and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support coordinated palliative care through community links
• Consult with oncology care teams on best practices
• Participate in research initiatives in palliative care
• Educate the public on palliative and symptom management
• Coordinate patient care with oncological services
Requirements:
• Fully licensed physician under provincial regulations
• Specialized training in Palliative Care preferred
• Understanding of Indigenous issues and cultural safety needed
• Advocate for equity and diversity in health practices
• Solid commitment to community and reconciliation principles
