Business Development Representative
Remote (North America)

Stouffville, ON

The position requires experience in the metals industry is preferred but not essential. The successful applicant will prospect for potential customers, schedule demonstration dates, and conduct sales activities remotely. We are focused on hiring individuals with sales ability, superior presentation skills, business knowledge, and excellent oral and written communication skills.

Job Responsibilities

Reach out to customer leads through cold calling

Contact clients via video chat, phone call, e‑mail, social media, or visit them physically. Coordinate sales effort with sales management

Engage potential customers in a qualified manner with all aspects of our ERP software application – Steel Manager III





Build rapport with a wide variety of people including 4GL staff, existing customers and potential customers

Prospect for potential customers in North America with a hunter mentality, outstanding at cold calling, and perseverance to build relationships despite resistance

Self‑motivated, direct, truthful, and able to work effectively remotely

Excellent written communication skills and ability to clearly and concisely discuss all aspects of our ERP application

Drive to consistently attain budgeted sales and goals

Stay up to date on all products and services offered

Job Qualifications

Action oriented salesperson who will drive the sales process from lead generation to scheduling demonstration dates

Excellent presentation skills

Ability to work with Excel

Robust customer service and communication skills

Exceptional telephone manner

Ability to travel

Experience with ERP/MRP applications is a plus
