The Air Line Pilots Association seeks a skilled Labour Relations Counsel in Calgary or Toronto. Take on significant responsibilities in supporting pilots' employment matters and collective agreements.
In this role, you will provide essential legal guidance to ALPA's member pilots while navigating complex labour relations issues. Your expertise will be crucial in negotiations, grievance resolution, and contract monitoring. Solid managerial skills and fluency in French are advantageous for effective communication in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide legal advice to pilots on employment issues
• Manage the negotiation of labour agreements
• Oversee dispute resolution under collective agreements
• Summarize findings for Transport Canada hearings
• Supervise administrative and paralegal staff
Requirements:
• Legal authorization to work in Canada
• Required LLB or equivalent law degree
• Minimum five years of relevant labour law experience
• Bilingual communication skills in English and French
• Experience preferred in collective bargaining processes
