We are seeking a friendly and energetic Cashier/Sales Associate to join our retail team. Responsibilities
Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately and quickly
Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs, including product demos when necessary
Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with accuracy
Upsell products and promote store specials to maximize sales opportunities
Maintain organized merchandise displays and ensure shelves are stocked and well-presented
Assist with merchandising, stocking, and inventory management tasks
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions and resolving concerns professionally
Maintain proper phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or in person
Support supervising staff as needed, including overseeing sales floor activities during shifts
Qualifications
Prior retail sales or cashiering experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar settings
Strong communication skills and excellent customer service abilities
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations
Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures
Ability to upsell products and conduct product demos effectively
Bilingual language skills are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases
Supervising experience is a plus but not mandatory; leadership qualities are valued
Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail operations preferred
Friendly attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment
