Duties
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a secure and efficient workplace for patient care
Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments with precision and professionalism
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring accuracy and patient safety
Manage patient records using dental practice management software such as Epic or Dentrix, ensuring all data is current and confidential
Provide excellent customer service as a dental receptionist, scheduling appointments and answering patient inquiries with warmth and clarity
Support orthodontic procedures by taking impressions, fitting braces, and educating patients on orthodontic care
Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and preventive measures tailored to pediatric patients when necessary
Experience
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a busy dental practice
Familiarity with dental software systems such as Epic or Dentrix for record keeping and appointment scheduling
Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry and pediatrics to communicate effectively with patients and team members
Experience assisting with orthodontic treatments and procedures is highly desirable
Strong understanding of dental assisting techniques including CAD (Computer-Aided Design) for digital impressions or restorations is a plus
Excellent communication skills to serve as both an assistant to the dentist and a welcoming front desk presence
