The University of Victoria School of Music is seeking an Assistant Teaching Professor of Piano for a full-time, tenure-track position. The expected start date is January 1, 2027, or as negotiated. Candidates should have a Master's degree, with a Doctorate preferred, and a solid record of performance as a pianist.
Teaching effectiveness and the ability to teach piano at the university level are essential. The successful candidate will teach applied piano lessons at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and will also be involved in recruiting piano students and maintaining a robust piano studio. Additional teaching responsibilities may include courses in collaborative piano, piano literature,
and other areas related to the School's curriculum.The salary for this position ranges from $108,000 to $134,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
