Responsibilities Provide team leadership, develop care plans, and assess unstable residents.
Execute nursing interventions, including medication administration, treatment, and patient transfers.
Deliver high‑quality nursing care in accordance with BCCNM standards.
Conduct assessments, administer medications, and manage complex health conditions.
Develop and implement person‑centred care plans.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to team members.
Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
Participate in quality improvement and ensure health and safety compliance.
Model Baptist Housing’s ministry values and practice servant leadership.
Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
A member in good standing or eligible for membership with British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
Current First Aid Certificate.
Food Secure Certificate.
Experience as a nurse in a long‑term care workplace, preferably.
Additional competencies include strong work ethic, minimal supervision, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, problem‑solving, time management, and meticulous organization of workloads. In‑depth understanding of aging processes, cognitive function changes, and age‑related diseases; expertise in medication administration, standard precautions, and adherence to healthcare protocols; proficiency in assessing functional and cognitive status, managing equipment, and adeptly utilizing office technology; well‑versed in pharmacological therapies, the Wellness Model, legal documentation, and the complex intricacies of the healthcare system at various levels.
Compensation & Benefits Level 3 Registered Nurses are compensated at an hourly rate ranging from $41.42 to $55.91, as outlined in the Provincial BC Nurses Collective Agreement.
Location: Work in a vibrant and scenic community in Kelowna, located in the Okanagan Valley.
