Summary Reporting into the Operations Director, the Site Supervisor is responsible for supporting and driving the successful, on‑time, and within‑budget execution of shoring projects from start to finish. The role works closely with on‑site crews, engineering teams, subcontractors, and clients, overseeing daily site operations, ensuring strict safety compliance, managing jobsite logistics, and serving as the primary on‑site representative for GIP.
Primary Scope of Role Project Execution & Planning Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
Plan and organize jobsite logistics and workflow.
Order and manage materials and equipment.
Develop and maintain project schedules.
Team Leadership Supervise, motivate, and support on‑site crews.
Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Ensure clear communication of tasks and expectations.
Safety & Compliance Promote a strong safety culture on site.
Conduct hazard assessments and enforce proper PPE usage.
Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures.
Lead near‑miss reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
Client & Stakeholder Communication Serve as the primary on‑site representative of GIP.
Maintain skilled and effective communication with clients and subcontractors.
Address and resolve site issues promptly and diplomatically.
Position Requirements Proven experience in shoring or heavy civil construction supervision.
Robust ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to safety and quality.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as required.
Advantages Expected base salary: $84,000 – $150,000 per year (dependent on experience, qualifications, and location).
