We are recruiting Surgical Assistants as key contributors to our Surgery Department at Niagara Health. This role includes performing essential functions such as verifying patient identities, assisting during operations, and providing post-surgical care. You'll work in a collaborative environment with surgeons and clinical staff dedicated to excellence in healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:
• Verify patient details and assist with surgical preparations
• Help maintain hemostasis and closure during procedures
• Apply dressings and assist with patient transfers afterward




• Work closely with the surgical and nursing teams
• Participate in after-hours on-call shifts as necessary

Requirements:
• Valid CPSO registration with appropriate CMPA coverage
• Eligible for Independent License or must hold it
• Must possess FRCP(C) or CCFP qualifications
• Credentialing required by the hospital
• Must be eligible to work without restrictions in Canada
