Our client, a leader in the renewable energy sector, is seeking an Interim Director of Accounting & Reporting to join their team for an initial 3-month engagement, with a solid possibility of extension.
Role Overview
As the Interim Director of Accounting & Reporting, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting under US GAAP. This role requires a balance of review, oversight, and hands‑on execution, particularly in support of year‑end close, audit activities, and financial statement preparation.
Key Responsibilities
Review and oversee accounting work prepared by team members to ensure US GAAP compliance
Perform hands‑on accounting work as required, including complex journal entries and reconciliations
Lead and support year‑end close and audit processes
Oversee preparation and review of financial statements and related reporting
Provide guidance and direction to the accounting and reporting team in a remote workplace
Qualifications
5+ years of hands‑on accounting experience , including solid US GAAP expertise
Proven experience in accounting and financial reporting leadership roles
Ability to work independently and remain self-motivated in a fully remote setting
Nice to Have
Background in energy, renewables, or asset‑heavy industries
