Position: Apigee Architect

Location: Toronto, On – Hybrid :

Experience of integration/API architecture experience

Hands-on Apigee (Edge, Hybrid, or Apigee X) in enterprise environments

Deep expertise in API security: OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, rate limiting, PII masking

Proven experience leading API gateway migration programs (Azure APIM, MuleSoft, or similar to Apigee)

Robust understanding of CI/CD pipelines: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Postman/Karate

Experience in regulated banking/financial services environments (PCI-DSS, OSFI, PIPEDA)

Excellent client communication and stakeholder management skills

Own end-to-end solution architecture for API onboarding and Azure APIM-to-Apigee Hybrid migration across multiple waves.

Serve as primary technical interface with client platform and LOB teams; drive daily architecture and platform sync.

Define and enforce API design standards, proxy patterns,



shared flows, and security policies (OAuth 2.0, mTLS, rate limiting, logging).

Lead technical governance across PODs — code reviews, design reviews, template standardization.

Guide and enable client teams through knowledge transfer, enabling them to independently sustain the platform post-engagement.

Drive reuse by developing and maintaining reusable proxy templates, CI/CD pipeline patterns, and API playbooks. Nice to have:

Experience with Apigee Hybrid on GCP/Azure infrastructure

Familiarity with GraphQL, SOAP, and XML API patterns

Google Cloud Qualified API Engineer or Apigee certification Regards
