The Nuclear Waste Management Organization seeks a Project Management Engineer dedicated to overseeing its ambitious Second Deep Geological Repository Project. This full time position involves managing all project phases, ensuring that safety protocols are upheld, and delivering results that align with NWMO’s values and governance. You will work in a hybrid mode, combining office and remote work primarily in Toronto or Ignace, Ontario.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee planning, scheduling, and risk assessment activities
• Develop project execution strategies including cost estimates
• Communicate project status and maintain stakeholder relations
• Monitor compliance with quality standards and practices
• Support contract administration with external consultants
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science
• More than 8 years of relevant experience in project execution
• Familiarity with nuclear waste management principles
• Robust organizational and negotiation skills
• PMP or P.Eng certification is an advantage
