Take charge as the Compliance Program Director for Remitly Canada. This hybrid role focuses on building effective compliance strategies from our Burnaby, BC location.

Your leadership as the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer will ensure that Remitly’s operations align with regulatory standards in financial services. You will manage compliance programs related to financial crime, customer protection, and more, while guiding the organization through an evolving regulatory landscape. Your influence will help us to grow responsibly and maintain customer trust.

Key Responsibilities:



• Lead compliance program design and effectiveness improvements • Shape regulatory strategy with key stakeholders • Safeguard licenses and ensure registration compliance • Oversee and enhance financial crime controls • Support consumer protection initiatives and processes

Requirements: • At least 8 years in a compliance role within financial services • Extensive knowledge of Canada’s regulatory setting • Proven experience managing licensing and regulatory relationships • Ability to work effectively with product and engineering teams • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or Finance is preferred
