As a Cook under the direction of the Food Services Supervisor, you will oversee food preparation and support dietary staff. Your role includes creating appealing and nutritious meals while maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen. Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare meals following Extendicare menus and recipes
• Ensure food presentation and nutritional quality meet standards




• Supervise staff in the absence of the supervisor
• Verify deliveries and manage kitchen supplies
• Maintain a clean and compliant kitchen environment
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in food preparation preferred
• Current food handlers certificate required
• Experience in long-term care or similar settings preferred
• Strong communication skills in English
• Ability to work safely and efficiently
