Empower individuals at the Kelowna Women’s Shelter as a Community Support Navigator dedicated to addressing domestic violence. Provide essential resources and compassionate assistance to those in need.
Kelowna Women’s Shelter is looking for a Community Support Navigator to assist individuals affected by domestic abuse. This role involves crisis intervention, safety and case planning, and offering vital information about community resources. You will play a key part in fostering a secure environment for participants seeking help.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage participant caseloads, focusing on strong relationships
• Provide immediate support via Helplines for those in danger
• Engage in crisis intervention and assessment activities




• Facilitate community resource connections and ongoing support
• Maintain all necessary documentation for compliance
Requirements:
• Diploma in Human Services or related field required
• 2 years of relevant social service experience
• ASIST Training and knowledge of Response Based Practice
• Criminal Record Check and First Aid Certification needed
• Valid BC driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
