With approximately 30+ professionals, we combine technical excellence with a strong team culture and regional expertise.Position OverviewEXP is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer (P.Eng.) to lead the design, delivery, and oversight of municipal infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for an experienced civil engineer with strong technical leadership, project management, and client‑facing skills, and a solid background in roads, servicing, drainage, and water resources.Key ResponsibilitiesLead civil engineering design and reviews for municipal infrastructure projects, including:Roads and transportation corridorsGrading and earthworksStormwater management and drainageWater, wastewater, and utilitiesFoundations and site servicingEnsure compliance with municipal, provincial, and federal codes, standards, and regulationsPrepare, review, and approve engineering deliverables, including:Calculations and design briefsDrawings and specificationsTechnical reportsTender and contract packagesManage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and deliverables, providing progress reporting and risk managementCoordinate multidisciplinary teams and liaise with:Clients and project stakeholdersMunicipalities and regulatory agenciesUtilities, landowners,



and approval authoritiesPerform QA/QC reviews and provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior engineers and technologistsReview contractor proposals, shop drawings, and technical submissions for complianceSupport construction and contract administration, including:RFIs and submittalsSite inspections and field reviewsCommissioning supportAs‑built drawing reviewConduct site investigations and geotechnical assessments and evaluate alternative technical solutionsEnsure seamless integration across disciplines (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Environmental)Maintain strong, proactive client communication throughout all project phasesQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Civil EngineeringLicensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario or eligible for licensureDemonstrated experience in municipal infrastructure engineering, including:Roads and transportation infrastructureWater and wastewater systemsStormwater management and drainageBridges or structures (asset)Extensive knowledge of engineering regulations, codes, and standards, including:Municipal and provincial standardsTAC, AASHTO, CSACanadian Building CodeEnvironmental and permitting requirementsProficiency with civil design and analysis software, such as:AutoCAD Civil 3DMicroStationBentley InRoads / OpenRoadsBIM and GIS toolsStrong expertise in municipal servicing, road design, grading, drainage,



and water resource managementExperience delivering preliminary and detailed design projectsProven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with external stakeholders and regulatorsExcellent communication and client‑facing skills, including facilitation of meetings and workshopsStrong project management experience, including scope, budget, schedule, and risk controlField experience with site inspections, compliance reviews, and construction supportKnowledge of municipal asset management principles (considered an asset)The salary range for this role is between $100K - $150K.
