Position Title: Radio Host, Afternoon Drive Show for Southwestern Ontario (French Services) (On Site)

Status: Permanent, Full time, In office presence required.

Location: 825 Riverside Drive West, Windsor, Ontario, N9A 5K9

Your Role

Launch a recent hour-long weekday afternoon show on ICI PREMIÈRE and Radio‑Canada OHdio, acting as the primary host. Collaborate with the producer to prepare live and pre‑recorded content, provide editorial judgment, and engage the audience.

Key Tasks
Host a daily, one‑hour live show, conducting engaging interviews on a wide range of topics.
Pitch compelling story ideas and collaborate with the production team to bring them to life.
Determine the style, angle, structure and format of audio content.
Prepare interview question lines.
Conduct background research and contact potential guests.
Attend daily story meetings for the show.
Contribute to creating digital content.
Conceive and develop program ideas and concepts, and participate in the preparation of program objectives.
Help prepare coverage plans and deployments.

What You Bring
University degree or equivalent.
Five (5) years’ experience, including three (3) in broadcasting or a related field, directly relevant to the assignment.
In‑depth knowledge of radio.




Strong digital writing and storytelling skills and superior editing and vetting skills.
Relevant experience in content production.
Knowledge of CBC/Radio‑Canada’s mandate and Journalistic Standards and Practices.
Deep knowledge of the political, economic, social and cultural issues impacting the Windsor region and Ontario as a whole.
A commitment to reflecting community and diversity.
Ability to thrive in a high‑pressure environment under tight deadlines.
Proven leadership and strong interpersonal and team‑playing skills.
Initiative and resourcefulness.
Organizational skills.
Excellent editorial judgment.
Solid command of spoken and written French and robust working knowledge of English.
