Northern Health - BC is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Emergency Department team at Kitimat Regional Hospital. This energetic role involves providing emergency care to patients of all ages in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented workplace.
The NP will manage CTAS 4 and 5 cases independently, assist with CTAS 1 and 2 cases, and occasionally manage CTAS 3 cases. The position is supported by telemedicine tools and offers flexible scheduling.
Key Responsibilities
Independently assess and manage CTAS 4 and 5 patients.
Occasionally manage CTAS 3 cases and assist with CTAS 1 and 2 cases.
Collaborate with physicians and emergency department nurses to deliver high‑quality emergency care.
Utilize PowerChart or paper‑based documentation systems.
Engage with virtual services to support emergency care delivery.
Contribute to a team‑based approach to emergency medicine.
Qualifications
Advanced certifications required: ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and CASTED .
