Contribute to Indigenous student success at George Brown Polytechnic as an Indigenous Liaison and Recruitment Specialist. This full time, hybrid role emphasizes cultural engagement and recruitment strategies.
Reporting to the Manager of Indigenous Initiatives, you will focus on enhancing Indigenous student recruitment through tailored strategies. Building connections with Indigenous communities, schools, and organizations is essential in this role. You’ll work collaboratively to address systemic barriers and create pathways for Indigenous learners towards higher education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop recruitment strategies highlighting Indigenous perspectives
• Foster constructive relationships with community partners
• Engage in recruitment activities at schools and events




• Analyze Indigenous recruitment data for improvement
• Coordinate logistics for events and outreach activities
Requirements:
• Educational background in Indigenous Studies or similar
• Minimum five years' experience in recruitment or related fields
• Lived experience with Indigenous communities
• Proficiency in event coordination and public engagement
• Valid Class G driver’s license and travel capability
