Central Okanagan Public Schools is seeking an Inclusion Teacher to work collaboratively with classroom teachers and teams in Kelowna. A deep understanding of inclusion issues and exceptional organizational skills are key. Candidates should be prepared to implement Competency Based Individualized Education Plans (CB-IEPs) and provide tailored support for students with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Co-plan, co-teach, and co-assess student learning
• Design and implement transition programming
• Provide individual or small group instruction
• Develop and oversee CB-IEPs effectively
• Collaborate on school-wide SEL initiatives
Requirements:
• Advanced study in Inclusive Education
• Robust interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with assessment of learning difficulties
• Knowledge of BC Ministry of Education Curriculum
• Willingness to utilize educational technology
