The Nuclear Waste Management Organization seeks a Project Management Engineer dedicated to overseeing its ambitious Second Deep Geological Repository Project. This full-time position involves managing all project phases, ensuring that safety protocols are upheld, and delivering results that align with NWMO’s values and governance. You will work in a hybrid mode, combining office and work from home primarily in Toronto or Ignace, Ontario.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee planning, scheduling, and risk assessment activities
• Develop project execution strategies including cost estimates
• Communicate project status and maintain stakeholder relations
• Monitor compliance with quality standards and practices
• Support contract administration with external consultants
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science
• More than 8 years of relevant experience in project execution
• Familiarity with nuclear waste management principles
• Solid organizational and negotiation skills
• PMP or P.Eng certification is an advantage
