Group Fitness Instructor

The City of St. Albert is recruiting individuals to join our Recreation & Parks department as Group Fitness Instructors to lead various group classes.

Qualifications
1 or more of the following certifications is required: Fitness Alberta, Water Art, CanFitPro, Zumba, or 200‑ or 500‑hour Yoga certification, but not limited to, as other equivalent or related certifications may be considered.
Current Standard First Aid Certification.
Preference will be given to those with prior instruction experience.
Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.

Hours of Work

Hours of work are determined by class times, which take place during operational hours of 5:30 – 9:30.

Term

This position has an end date of December 31, with a possibility of an extension.

Compensation

The wage ranges from $30 – $70 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
Group Fitness Instructor $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
Specialty Fitness Instructor $30 – $55 per hour
Zumba Instructor $45.00 – $70.00 per hour

Conditions of Employment
The successful candidate will need to provide proof of educational and qualified credentials.
The successful applicant will need to obtain a explicit vulnerable sector police information check.
