Utility/Water Treatment Technician (Level III or IV) – Temporary Assignment in Alberta
AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring experienced Utility/Water Treatment Technicians (Level III or IV) for an upcoming temporary assignment in Alberta. This position will require you to work 12‑hour shifts, 6 days per week when assigned to a project.
Pay & Perks
$55 before overtime
$30 per day non‑taxed meal allowance (when lodging is required)
Paid Travel (up to 4 hours)

Certifications
Hold a valid Level III or Level IV Water Treatment certificate
Must have a valid Class 5 or G drivers licence.
Duties, Skills & Qualifications
Ability to operate machines, mobile equipment and tools used in municipal water treatment facilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Manage and optimize plant performance; react to abnormalities including turbidity, mono‑chloramines, chlorine, etc.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints & drawings.
Solid mathematical skills related to calculations for volume, flow, velocity, chemical dosage, consumption, etc.
Comfortable working in confined spaces and handling hazardous chemicals.
Ability to provide technician guidance on assignments.
Collaborate with other departments.
Provide assistance to rural water treatment facilities by remote system monitoring.
Minimum 3 years experience.
Solid organizational and time‑management skills.
Physically able to bend, lift, stand and reach.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
Fluent command of the English language (both written and verbal).
