General Practitioner in Radiation Oncology – BC Cancer, Victoria

BC Cancer – Victoria is seeking a General Practitioner to join its multidisciplinary Radiation Oncology team.

Responsibilities
Work with a team of specialized radiation oncologists and allied health professionals and participate exclusively in the care of oncology patients.
Participate in the ambulatory care treatment and follow-up of patients.
Support in‑patient care of patients receiving treatment.

Compensation & Contract

The funding for this position is set at a maximum of 1.0 FTE. The prospect is flexible and could be offered to more than one candidate who is interested in working part‑time on a permanent basis. Service contract and salary options are available.

Qualifications
Eligibility for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (FRCP, FRCS or CCFP).
Eligibility for appointment to medical staff of BC Cancer and Royal Jubilee Hospital.
Eligibility for appointment to the University of British Columbia.
In‑patient and oncology experience is an asset but is not required.
No previous experience in radiation oncology is required; BC Cancer will support your training, involving both didactic virtual teaching and in‑clinic patient‑related instruction.
