This role is crucial to the George House Team, where you will assist youth with daily needs, implementing safety plans and utilizing Crisis Intervention Training. You'll also lead recreational activities aimed at fostering emotional and social skills while ensuring compliance with program standards and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist youth with medication, transportation, and meal prep
• Implement individualized safety and crisis intervention plans
• Conduct life skills groups and recreational therapeutic outings
• Support youth in developing problem-solving and coping skills
• Complete daily reports and maintain incident documentation
Requirements:
• Diploma in Child & Youth Work or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience supporting youth with complex needs
• Tech-savvy with proficiency in MS Office
• Valid G level driver’s license required
• Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Welfare Check needed
