This position with Fraser Health requires an acute care general surgeon who excels in clinical skills and has a keen interest in education and research. Work alongside 10 experienced surgeons in a team-oriented setting focused on enhancing acute surgical care. The expected commitment is at least 12 weeks per year, with potential for more.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality acute surgical services
Mentor and teach medical students and residents
Participate in clinical research and quality initiatives
Coordinate with subspecialty surgeons for comprehensive care
Maintain required medical credentials and licenses
Requirements:
Proven clinical and surgical expertise
Fellowship training in Trauma and/or Acute Care Surgery preferred
Must possess valid CMPA, FRCSC, CSPBC credentials
Willingness for a minimum commitment of 12 weeks
Adaptable to take locum assignments prior to deadline
Contribute significantly to surgical care and education at Royal Columbian Hospital as a sessional acute care surgeon.
