As a key member of the Market Regulation Policy Team, the Senior Policy Counsel will engage in the development and drafting of policies aimed at enhancing market integrity. You will liaise with Canadian Securities Administrators on various policy initiatives and analyze domestic and international market structures.
This role demands a combination of independent work and collaboration within CIRO’s divisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and draft policies on market integrity matters
Liaise with the Canadian Securities Administrators for rule development
Analyze domestic and international market structure developments
Represent CIRO at industry events and advisory meetings
Support other CIRO divisions effectively
Requirements:
Law Degree and Bar membership in Canada
5–10 years’ experience in securities-related roles
Proven experience in policy development and project leadership
Robust writing, analytical, and communication skills
Extensive knowledge of market structure and securities legislation
