Be an essential role model as an Overnight Youth Worker with Spirit of Our Youth Homes, a part of Taproot Community Support Services. This overnight position focuses on providing care and support for Indigenous youth in a secure and nurturing setting.
In this full-time role, you will work the overnight shift, ensuring the needs of First Nations, Metis, or Inuit children are met. You'll supervise, model healthy routines, and maintain safety during crisis situations. Culturally informed support will empower the youth you work with and foster community connections through traditional practices and teachings.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise children during overnight hours
Assist with wake-up calls and morning routines
Maintain a secure and healthy living environment
Complete household cleaning and log reports
Support culturally appropriate programs and workshops
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in Child and Youth Work
Certificate or degree in a related field
Valid class 5 driver's license for 3 years
First Aid/CPR certification
Training in crisis intervention and medication administration
Make a difference in the lives of Indigenous youth through your dedicated support and engagement.
