Become the fractional legal expert for AltaML, a energetic tech company, providing key legal support two to three days a week.
This role focuses on commercial contracts, corporate governance, and management of external counsel while embedding with a growth
focused team.

As a part time Director of Legal, you will report directly to the CFO and play a vital role in contract negotiations and compliance across diverse legal aspects.

This position allows flexibility, offering the prospect to engage with other clients while contributing meaningfully to AltaML's legal strategies and decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
Draft and negotiate commercial agreements, including NDAs and vendor contracts
Maintain corporate records and ensure governance compliance




Prepare board materials and support investor relations
Manage due diligence processes for corporate transactions
Coordinate with outside counsel and optimize legal costs Requirements:
J.D. with valuable standing in Alberta Law Society
5+ years of legal experience, ideally in-house
Familiarity with SaaS and technology contracting
Experience in corporate governance and cap table management
Excellent communication and organizational skills Lead legal initiatives, manage contracts, and ensure compliance as part of AltaML's dedicated team.
