As Float's first dedicated data engineer, you will manage end-to-end Snowflake architecture. Collaborate closely with the Analytics Engineer to ensure smooth data transitions and improve data observability. Your expertise will be crucial in stabilizing data pipelines and enhancing data quality, pivotal for our analytics-driven growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the Snowflake architecture, ensuring organization and access controls
Design and implement orchestration for ingestion pipelines
Establish observability and alerting for immediate issue detection




Create data contracts to prevent upstream changes from affecting operations
Build data quality checks and CI/CD pipelines for consistency
Requirements:
Proficient in Python and SQL with substantial hands-on experience
Extensive knowledge of cloud data platforms, especially Snowflake
Proven experience with ETL/ELT pipeline ownership
Fluency in dbt and data observability methods
Robust communication skills for cross-team collaboration
Transform data reliability and enhance Float's analytics capability as a Senior Data Engineer.
