About the Role

The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Financial Services with a robust background in retail financial services and a deep commitment to the advancement of Indigenous communities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall success of the financial services division, including the evaluation and recommendation of strategies for retail banking and consumer lending activities.

This role is pivotal in overseeing the branch network and payment operations, and the ideal candidate will have a passion for continuous improvement, organizational excellence, and a thorough understanding of the regulated financial services sector.

Key responsibilities for the AVP,



Financial Services include strategic leadership, financial management, business development, and human resources. The role demands a determined qualified who is a cooperative problem-solver, an exceptional communicator, and who can provide superior service to both internal and external stakeholders.
The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least 10 years' experience in retail financial services, and a minimum of 5 years in an executive or senior management position. Extensive experience in team management, robust analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record in project and budget management are essential.

The AVP will also be involved in regulatory and contingency planning, ensuring compliance with the company's policies and the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada's guidelines.
