As the heavy-duty Mechanic, you will be a key player in our continuous maintenance improvement program through daily troubleshooting and preventative maintenance strategies.

You’ll Do:

Maintenance of Sawmill Heavy Duty Equipment such as forklifts and loaders

Maintain a safe work environment

Verify and document repairs

Monitor product quality and provide feedback

Preventative maintenance

Troubleshooting for various pieces of equipment

YouHave:

Candidates must possess a Red Seal Certificate

A valid journeyman or inter-provincial certification is required

Strong organizational and communication skills

Excellent interpersonal and team building skills

Demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills

Weekend and/or shift work may be required

Valid AB driver’s license

Considered a strong asset:

Previous experience working in a sawmill or an industrial environment
