VIA Rail is seeking an Advisor for Government and Indigenous Relations in Montreal, Quebec. This role emphasizes strategic input and management of parliamentary processes.
As an integral part of the Government Relations team, you will track and manage parliamentary questions, coordinate programs for elected officials, and develop newsletters for stakeholders. Your insights will help shape key strategic initiatives, directly aligning with VIA Rail's commitment to modernizing Canada's transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Track and manage parliamentary inquiries promptly
• Coordinate the rail pass program for MPs and Senators
• Prepare briefing notes for high-level meetings
• Organize events for partnership and community initiatives
• Support key Government Relations activities and strategies
Requirements:
• Relevant undergraduate degree
• 5-7 years of relevant governmental experience
• Fluency in English and French, both written and spoken
• Solid knowledge of Indigenous relations and community engagement
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
