The Opportunity
Are you a bold, driven chef ready to run a kitchen in one of Whistler’s most iconic après-ski and nightlife venues?
At Longhorn Saloon, we’re known for big flavors, a lively atmosphere, and unforgettable guest experiences. We’re looking for a Head Chef who can bring passion, precision, and creativity to the kitchen while leading a fast-paced, high-volume operation.
From daytime service to late-night offerings, you’ll set the culinary standard, inspire your team, and ensure every plate reflects excellence, energy, and fun.

What You Bring to the Table
Proven experience in fast-paced, high-volume kitchens
Strong leadership and communication skills
Commitment to excellence in both food and teamwork
Calm under pressure and quick on your feet
Familiarity with tools like Bevspot, POS, and kitchen management systems
Red Seal certification (or equivalent) is a bonus — but not required
Passion for delivering bold flavors and a memorable guest experience
Your Days Will Look Like
Oversee daily kitchen operations across all services and events
Lead and mentor a high-performing culinary team
Develop seasonal, guest-focused menus using fresh, local ingredients
Maintain high standards in food safety, quality, and cleanliness
Manage food and labour budgets with an eye on both efficiency and excellence
Work cross-functionally with FOH and leadership teams to ensure smooth execution
Jump in on the line when needed - this is a hands-on leadership role
