Elk Valley Resources seeks a Loss Prevention Officer to safeguard health and safety on-site. Engage in proactive risk management and safety initiatives in the Elk Valley region.

In this role, you will report to the Supervisor, Safety, working a 4x4 rotation of shifts. You should possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to communicate effectively and lead training sessions. Your critical thinking and decision-making prowess will drive site security and health performance.

Key Responsibilities:
• Adhere to health and safety policies and programs
• Evaluate contractor safety plans and perform monitoring
• Facilitate health and safety training and current hire orientation
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits




• Provide first aid and safety incident management

Requirements:
• High School Diploma required
• Advanced First Aid certification from WorkSafeBC essential
• Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office Suite®
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License necessary
• Relevant experience in health and safety roles is a plus
