Bilingual Program Coordinator (Mental Health Services)
Ottawa, ON

Location: Ottawa, Ontario
Reports to: Assistant Director, Mental Health
Employment Status: Full-time, permanent
Bargaining Unit Status: Included
Annual Salary: $85,571.20 - $101,233.60
Language Requirements: Bilingualism in French and English is required
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, On-call

About the Opportunity
Our client is a well-established, community-based organization providing a range of social, health, and support services. They are seeking a Bilingual Coordinator to oversee an intensive, live-in youth mental health program designed to support individuals experiencing complex mental health challenges.

This program offers structured, short-term residential support focused on stabilization, treatment, and transition planning. It operates in collaboration with external partners and aligns with provincial standards and regulatory requirements.

Reporting to the Assistant Director, the Coordinator is responsible for the overall leadership, clinical oversight, and day-to-day operations of the program.

What You Will Do
Staff & Program Leadership

Lead recruitment, onboarding, supervision, and performance management of staff
Provide regular individual and group supervision
Offer clinical guidance to team members and oversee file quality
Supervise clinical staff, including psychotherapy support where applicable
Oversee daily operations, staffing coordination, and program delivery
Facilitate team meetings, case reviews, and internal discussions
Support scheduling and ensure appropriate staffing coverage
Contribute to program development, evaluation, and quality improvement
Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers
Participate in public education and community engagement activities
Ensure compliance with policies, legislation, and regulatory standards
Participate in on-call rotation

Clinical Oversight

Monitor client care plans, case management, and transitions




Provide direct clinical support as required
Support crisis response and risk management planning
Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and follow-up on incidents
Facilitate case conferencing and service coordination
Oversee referrals and collaboration with external providers

Administration & Operations

Oversee administrative functions including scheduling, reporting, and documentation
Maintain accurate client and program records
Support hiring processes in collaboration with HR
Assist with budget oversight and resource allocation
Prepare reports for leadership and funders as required
Ensure readiness for audits, licensing, or accreditation processes
Maintain program supplies, equipment, and operational needs
Support ongoing policy and procedure updates

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or a related field (required)
Master's degree in a relevant field (asset)
Registration in valuable standing with a relevant regulatory body (required)
Minimum 5 years of clinical experience supporting youth with mental health needs
Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
Eligibility or certification to provide clinical supervision
Strong leadership, collaboration, and decision-making skills
Knowledge of mental health services, community resources, and applicable legislation
Experience with risk assessment, case management, and therapeutic interventions
Strong organizational and communication skills
Proficiency with standard office software
Access to reliable transportation
Flexibility to work evenings and participate in on-call rotation

Language: Fluency in both English and French (spoken and written) is required

Additional Requirements
Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector or equivalent background check
Language assessment may be required
