This permanent position focuses on producing and managing the short-term production schedule, ensuring safety and quality in mining operations. You'll report directly to the Senior Mining Engineer and will be responsible for maintaining two-week schedules, optimizing material movements, and supporting daily activities. A bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering is required, along with experience in open-pit mining.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain secure and productive mining schedules - Create drilling and ore blend plans for production - Optimise waste dump designs and material movements - Manage all planning outputs including updates - Provide planning support for short-term infrastructure
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or similar - Relevant experience in mining design and scheduling - Familiar with Vulcan and Alastri software tools - Excellent communication and collaboration skills - Focused on continuous improvements and proactive solutions
