As part of the Community Development team, the Social Worker will utilize specialized skills to assist families facing social difficulties. Your role will involve direct advocacy, effective case management, and a commitment to upholding cultural values. Candidates must be prepared to take an active role in decolonization efforts and promote reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Foster relationships to understand community needs
• Offer intervention and case planning for vulnerable families
• Liaise with child welfare and advocacy agencies
• Assess psychosocial factors and provide intervention support
• Coordinate access to community resources and services
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Social Work or relevant degree
• Licensed or registered Social Worker under provincial law
• Minimum of three years of related experience
• Background working in First Nations settings preferred
• Must complete a Criminal Records Check
