Join WoodGreen as a Clinical Counsellor to provide impactful support over an 18-month contract. This hybrid role involves versatile work arrangements post-training to foster client recovery effectively.
As part of the Community Care Unit, you will deliver client-centered services through a trauma-informed lens. This position requires a deep understanding of mental health challenges and expertise in various counseling modalities, including Motivational Interviewing and Solution-Focused therapy. You'll also participate in ongoing training and collaborate with other providers for comprehensive client support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform clinical needs assessments for diverse client backgrounds
• Create tailored treatment plans reflecting client values and preferences
• Facilitate crisis intervention and develop action plans
• Participate in clinical meetings for holistic care coordination
• Provide mentorship to students and new volunteers
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in a relevant field and current professional accreditation
• At least 3 years of relevant counseling experience
• Proven ability to navigate mental health and addictions support systems
• Knowledge of harm reduction and anti-oppression practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
