Your Impact The Project Coordinator is the vital operational link in ground improvement projects. This role ensures projects are planned, coordinated, and executed efficiently - meeting timelines, budgets, safety standards, and quality expectations. You support the Project Manager in delivering successful project outcomes by coordinating documentation, resources and communication across clients, contractors, suppliers and internal teams. This hands‑on position demands strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, excellent communication, and proven organizational skills in construction environments.
What Success in this Role Looks Like Project Planning & Coordination Assist the Project Manager and Sales Manager with the preparation, organization, and submission of tender documentation and contract document details; assist with contract review, interpretation and compliance efforts.
Support the Project Manager and Operations Lead in the successful mobilization and execution of projects by coordinating scope, schedule, and resource requirements including preparation and submission of all required pre‑mobilization documentation
Communicate regularly with GeoSolv Site Supervisor to devise daily plans to be completed and ensure communication of findings to Operations Lead and Project Manager to facilitate implementation and planning.
Work closely with Quality Supervisor, Site Super and client to devise sequence maps and critical installation plans for onsite implementation and clarity amongst all stakeholders.
All installations must be tracked on the project drawings to monitor progress and verify that all piers have been installed in accordance with the approved design
Schedule, plan and implement service needs on site such as but not limited to locates, surveying, daylighting, etc.
Support preparation of detailed cost estimates, oversize calculations, and development boundary assessments related to ground improvement.
Set up the initial material orders for the Site Superintendents and track materials, including stone, concrete, fuel, helicals, specialized hardware, etc.
Manage subcontractor coordination, including onboarding, training on procedures, site expectations, and performance monitoring.
Track project progress with regular updates and reporting to management and stakeholders through clear and concise communication.
Conduct site visits to support meetings with clients and proper project completion.
Financial & Administrative Coordination Prepare and track project schedules, support invoicing, progress payments, track lien rights, and change orders.
Monitor project costs, compare actual expenses against planned budgets, and flag variances early.
Maintain detailed records of all project activities for audit and compliance purposes.
Review and approve project related invoices including material volumes, vendor services and other project related expenses.
Support the procurement of project Bonding and Certificates of insurance that align with project requirements and needs.
Assist with payroll, timekeeping, labor and equipment coding, purchase orders, and safety documentation.
Quality & Compliance Facilitate resolution of design issues, change requests, material defects, and equipment problems in a timely manner working closely with the Quality Control Supervisor and Design Engineers.
Ensure adherence to health and safety standards; coordinate safety certifications and training for project staff.
Conduct periodic field inspections pre- and during construction to assess compliance with approved plans and regulatory requirements.
Review construction plans for conformance with relevant codes, regulations, and ordinances as needed (structural, mechanical, electrical, zoning, etc.).
Coaching & Guidance Promote teamwork, adaptability, creative problem‑solving, and accountability within project teams.
Foster effective communication channels between subcontractors, clients, consultants, and internal teams.
What You’ll Bring to the Team College diploma or university degree in Civil Engineering.
3-5 years of project coordination experience in construction, with any experience in heavy civil, geotechnical, or ground improvement construction is a strong asset.
Familiarity with design‑build project delivery models preferred.
Proficient with construction documentation, tender preparation, and contract management.
Knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and health and safety standards applicable to construction.
Experience with project management software and MS Office suite; experience with scheduling tools (e.g., Assignar) is beneficial.
