Evergreen Sheet Metal (2018) has been operating in the BC Lower Mainland HVAC and Sheet Metal Industry for over 15 years.
We are currently looking for a Sheet Metal Project Manager to join our team at one of our projects across the Lower Mainland. We are seeking a professional with a passion for leadership and a commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in project management for institutional and high-rise projects.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Sheet Metal Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the success of their assigned project(s), including planning, management, and execution.
The SM Project Manager will:
Lead by example; lead the project team by taking responsibility for each assigned project.
Establish and communicate project expectations and goals to other team members.
Is responsible for understanding the scope of work and contractual agreements for each project.
Develops and implements a site-specific document control system.
In partnership with the General Foreman, develops, implements and enforces a site-specific health and safety plan.
In partnership with the General Foreman, develops and implements a site-specific QAQC, Progress Management and Commissioning Plan.
Acts as the main liaison with the project stakeholders, building a strong, trusting relationship with the client and key stakeholders. Provides guidance to stakeholders as needed.
Produces an overall project schedule, highlighting critical path activities. Enforces schedule deadlines throughout the project.
Assists with design coordination as needed.
Reviews and approves shop drawings and RFI’s.
Identifies and mitigates project risk continuously.
Procures sub-trades, vendors, materials and equipment in accordance with the project documents.
Manages large equipment delivery logistics, including hoisting plans, or ensures that it is done by others.
Attends project meetings as required.
Manages and tracks all financial aspects of the project and regularly reports back to the General Manager on financial performance.
Manages and oversees sub-trades to ensure their scope of work is in line with the project documents, schedule and QAQC program.
Manage project workforce needs in conjunction with the General Foreman.
Produces and submits monthly progress draws.
Manages the development and preparation of operational & maintenance manuals, and owner training requirements.
Coordinate with the Foreman Level A.
Submits quotations for any additional work or changes.
Coordinates any site instructions or changes.
Is responsible for communicating Site Instructions to the General Foreman
Is responsible for the coordination of the drawings, including any and all changes to the contract drawings.
Drawings must be maintained in a manner that the intended changes can be comprehended by all onsite staff.
Monitors job costing and prepares reports for review by the General Manager.
Provides direction to Project Coordinators as required.
Collaborate with other departments (HR, Accounting) to ensure that assigned projects are completed on time and within budget.
Participate in industry-specific training programs as required to build knowledge and skills.
Perform other duties as required.

Must be legally entitled to work full-time hours in Canada.
Must have Canadian experience as a Project Manager in the Plumbing/Mechanical industry.
Education and Experience
8-10 years in the sheet metal industry.
Formal training in Sheet Metal or Mechanical Engineering would be considered an asset.
Formal education in Project Management would be considered an asset.
Previous experience with Bluebeam, Procore, Revizto, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office is required.
Solid understanding of Mechanical Drawings.
Previous experience with Revit is considered a strong asset.
Familiarity with AutoDesk and Trimble products.
Work Conditions
This is a full-time, site-based position.
Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computers and peripherals.
Walking through uneven grounds on construction job sites.
ESM employees work a standard 40-hour work week, but hours of work may vary based on business requirements from time to time.

Compensation:
100k to 150k + 5% RRSP + 100% Employer-paid Extended Health & Dental benefits package + Life Insurance + Long Term Disability + Phone Allowance + Vehicle Allowance.
