We are presently recruiting for the role of Vision Care - Surgical - Therapeutic Specialist for Ontario, reporting to Rakesh Krishnan,Sr Brand and District Sales Manager. The candidate will be responsible for managing and leading business development in some of our largest customer key accounts in Ontario. The product portfolio covers Glaucoma surgical device and Retina.
The Vision Care - Surgical - Therapeutic Specialist for Ontario is intended to be the face of AbbVie to identified Key Accounts to continue to build on and develop the long-term customer relationships across the glaucoma and dry eye portfolio.
Key Responsibilities: Customer & Account Management Serve as the primary customer expert and manager of AbbVie's commercial relationships with External Experts and Key Accounts
Build deep, broad, and trust-based engagements within Key Account organizations
Develop a thorough understanding of customer priorities, organizational structure, and business environment to maximize sales
Act as the core customer advocate within AbbVie — surfacing issues, concerns, and priorities internally
Identifyand develop new Key Accounts while growing existing ones
Strategic & Business Planning Develop comprehensive, account-specific business strategies aligned with AbbVie's guidelines and values
Identifypredictive and responsive opportunities to co-develop solutions within Key Accounts
Proactivelyidentifyand mitigate challenges to effective customer interactions
Conduct regular internal and external business territory performance reviews
Proficiently manage overall territory budget and resource allocation
Cross-Functional Collaboration Maintain a macro view of customer relationships and work cross-functionally to maximize sales results
Ensure internal team members understand and execute against the customer strategy and sales expectations
Collaborate with AbbVie's Medical team tooptimizeproduct knowledge and business training
Execute national marketing programs in partnership with internal cross-functional teams
Surgical & Technical Support (Xen) Provide technical support and guidance for Xen proceduresin accordance withthe approved Product Monograph and Directions for Use
Ensure product availability and readiness during procedures per hospital operational supply processes
Provide product knowledge and technical troubleshooting support specific to device and procedure technique
Offer peri-operative guidance (pre- and post-operative considerations) as approved through MIR and CS training modules
Identifyopportunities to support surgeons and address gaps byleveragingcross-functional partners, both within and outside the OR
Education, Experience & CompetenciesRequirements: B.A. or B.S. degree or MBA combination of experience and educationrequired
A minimum of5years ofSales and/ormarketing/or head officeoperationalexperience
Experience inSurgicalSales ispreferred
HCP background (Nurse, MDetc) is preferred
A thorough understanding of theinstitutional/ Key Accounthealthcare sectorpreferred
Demonstratedtrack recordof achieving and/orexceedingbusinessresults
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Strong business acumen and self-starter
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, listeningand adaptability skills
Strong presentation and communication skills
Proven ability to effectively communicate cross-functionally within the company
Ability to effectively communicate with senior leaders both with customers&internally;
Candidate must befluent in English. Both verbal and written
Highly collaborativewith acustomer-centricmindset
Able to travel up to75%ofthe time
