Reporting to the Manager of Corporate HR Programs & Policy, you'll oversee the city's compensation and classification plans. Your leadership will ensure effective evaluation practices and maintain compliance with organizational policies. You'll work closely with union representatives on job evaluation appeals and grievances while proactively improving processes based on data trends.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead job evaluations to maintain internal equity and relativity
• Supervise the Compensation and Classification team for effective evaluations
• Collaborate with unions on appeals and grievances
• Analyze compensation data to inform collective bargaining proposals
• Improve efficiencies in compensation administration and processes
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field
• Experience in a unionized environment and handling grievances
• Proficiency in HR information systems, e.g., PeopleSoft
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills for diverse stakeholder engagement
